I will try this post with NO PHOTOS, NO PICTURES, and just WORDS. Seems unappealing and not very well told without pictures to relate to, to tell the story more wisely, a picture speaks a thousand words, but this time I will write utter nonsense. RANDOM NOTHINGNESS. Wait a minute, I've got a story.....
STAYING FAITHFUL IN TIMES OF TEMPTATION.
Read Psalm 119 :153 -176
Great Peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
Psalm 119 : 165
Our world is full of temptations and snares. Unfortunately, many sincere Christians think that once they accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour, their lives will be free from problems. Nothing is further from the truth. In actual fact, we appear even clearer on the devil's radar screen because he wants to put hindrances and temptations to trip us and cause us to lose our faith. All of us have Christian friends who are no longer walking with the Lord despite their initial zeal and sincerity.
How then can we remain faithful to the Lord? Firstly, we must realise that none of us is capable of living the Christian life on our own strength. The secret to the psalmist's faithfulness, despite going through many trials and failures, is his dependence on the Lord. Time and time again, he cried to the Lord for deliverance. In every difficulty, let us learn to turn to the Lord and not try to use our own wisdom to figure our solutions or resolve issues and take matters into our own hands. David was preserved because he continued to seek wisdom from God.
Secondly, we must be able to find comfort from God's word. Our journey through life is fraught with much pain and suffering and the one who will remain faithful must be able to derive encouragement and joy from God's word. The psalmist fournd comfort from God's compassion, joy in God's promises and great peace. This means that we must always keep God's word in our hearts.
ARE YOU REGULARLY DERIVING COMFORT,JOY AND PEACE FROM GOD'S WORD? IF YOU ARE NOT, BEGIN TO START A REGULAR PLAN TO READ GOD'S WORD.
